Local Solar System is a small business that sells engraved plaque sets at localsolarsystem.org. We collect only what we need to make and ship your order. We run no ads, set no tracking cookies, use no analytics, and never sell your information.
WHAT STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER
The order pages remember your choices, the material, your scale measurements, and the shipping details you type, using your browser's local storage. That draft lives on your device only. Nothing you enter reaches us until you send it yourself, by placing an order or emailing us. You can erase the draft at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Order details. When you place an order, we receive the specification you send: material, scale figures, and the name, shipping address, email address, and site notes you provided.
- Correspondence. Emails you send to [email protected], and our replies.
- Payment. When checkout goes live, payments will be processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our site or our inbox. Stripe's handling of your data is described in its own privacy policy.
- Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
- Fonts. Some of the site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, which receives the standard requests a browser makes when fetching a file.
HOW WE USE IT
To confirm your figures and engraving proofs, produce and deliver your order, respond to your messages, keep business records, and meet legal obligations. That is the whole list.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
- Our engraving vendor, who receives the figures to be engraved and, where needed, delivery details.
- Shipping carriers, who receive your name and address to deliver the order.
- Stripe, for payment processing once checkout is live.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with anyone.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order records and correspondence are kept as long as needed to fulfill orders, honor our commitments, and satisfy tax and business record requirements.
YOUR CHOICES
Email [email protected] to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where the law allows. The order draft on your own device is yours to clear at any time.
CHILDREN
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
